I got into the field of bodywork quite naturally, when friends asked me to work on their aches and pains and I discovered my great interest in the field. As a bodyworker, I love incorporating understandings from both East and West. While working for several years in an injury clinic, 2015 to 2020, I obtained a Specialty Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitative Massage from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork( NCBTMB) and the Academy for Clinical Massage, which was an exciting development in my career. My original massage training, in 1992, included a specialization in Jin Shin Acupressure. I’ve also practiced Thai Massage, which I learned in Thailand! My massages are holistic or integrative of my many studies and experiences while being centered in Medical Massage. I’m flexible with the style of massage and the level of pressure, according to the client’s interest and choice.

I came to Colorado from Tennessee in 1997, because of my holistic health interests, and due to my spouse pursuing a PhD at CU Boulder. In addition to massage therapy, I’ve studied and certified in Music for Healing, Ayurveda, Healing Touch, and Reiki. Both as a musician and a bodyworker, I’ve volunteered and been on staff in many settings: hospice, hospital, chiropractic clinic, wellness center. One of my most interesting assignments was going room-to-room in a hospital offering Therapeutic Touch and soothing flute/vocal music!

A musician from childhood, I currently sing with the Voices of Light Chamber Choir and am the Artistic Director of the Smithtonians Community Handbell Ensemble. I have worked as a musician at the bedside of the sick. I live with long-time partner, Keith, a Choral Director, with whom I share my love of music, nature, travel, and Eastern philosophies. We have traveled the world together, performing choral music and visiting sacred sites.
