Gina Germano

LMT

Hi, my name is Gina, and I am an animal lover, avid hiker, wife, mother, and friend. I got into massage therapy because I was on a search for alternatives to western medicine; I wanted to find a way to nourish and maintain my health and the health of others that was not western based.

I am a resident of Coal Creek Canyon and I love where I live! I have lived in the canyon since 2014 and the scenery, views and fresh air are breathtaking!

In my spare time I like to hang out in nature with my husband and daughter and do yoga.

I have over 4 years of wellness related education and knowledge of the energy meridians that run through the body combined with years of massage experience. This matters because I use this knowledge to help YOU! Even though this is the "About Me" section, this isn't really about me, this is about YOU, and how I can help YOU!

I am very excited to share massage with others and to work towards each individual's goals in every massage session. I believe that massage works as a valuable and holistic part of healthcare that produces tangible results.

OK, so really, you want to know a bit more about me? What I specialize in, what I studied, what I'm good at? All right, well feel free scroll down to get more of the story.

In the meantime, know that you are cordially invited to my massage table, for at least an hour! I have new client specials going on! Click here to see them and to book!

Gina's Style

My massage is integrative in that it combines different modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Acupressure, Tuina, Energy Meridian Work, and Hara. I use some or all of these techniques intuitively while drawing on knowledge from over 4 years of wellness related schooling.

I offer sessions of 60, 90, and 120 minutes that are performed with intention and focused on the goals of the client.

Gina's Story

Part of what led me to study massage therapy and become a massage therapist was experience with pain and with chronic disease. Western medicine simply did not help me as much as I thought it should, but I realized that time and time again, massage, herbs, and acupuncture helped... and not just a little bit... combined they helped a lot! These experiences, combined with a very kind and wise practitioner who really inspired me, led me to where I am now.

My knowledge of the energy meridians of the body, which I learned over about 4 years, really helps me be able to be good at helping people with pain. When people experience pain, there is a block in the flow of the energetic pathways of the body. When this is unblocked, the pain goes away. Is it important to know muscles and typical physiology as well? Of course! But being able to not only pinpoint muscles that may be troublesome, and targeting the energetics that are blocked as well really enhances the therapeutic results of the massage I am giving!

I really tailor the massage to the needs of the client, and this includes pressure needs of the client. I can do light pressure, deeper pressure, and everything in between. I have been known to give more of a "physiological" massage in that I really help areas of the client in need and deliver very positive results. My massages are not "fluff" but very therapeutic in nature. That said, I still can give a great relaxing massage that flows together and is soothing. But really I find that by integrating all of the techniques that I use, my targeted therapeutic massages are actually very relaxing with a smooth flow as I transition from one part of the body to the next; one technique to another.
